The comedian has made no less than seven appearances on the hit late-night talk show Conan in the US. Furthermore, he has performed nine sell-out shows to date in Edinburgh Fringe and two solo off-Broadway shows. Daniel has also released a DVD, given a Tedx Talk at age 19, and toured extensively throughout Australia, Asia, USA, UK, and Europe.
Daniel has received many rave reviews during his tours. Australia’s Herald Sun said, ‘Sloss is simply world class.’
Also, The New York Times described him as ‘dirty, sweet, and clever,’ and Mail on Sunday said he does ‘deliciously dark stand-up.’ Meanwhile, Sunday Times said he was ‘brilliantly dark’ and ‘razor sharp.’
About Daniel Sloss
What’s most notable about Daniel was that he established himself as a professional performer in his teens. He was the youngest comedian to perform a season of solo performances in London’s West End at 19 years old. Daniel also starred in a BBC broadcast sitcom pilot, The Adventures of Daniel. Additionally, he appeared in another late-night talk show, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.
A 2009 interview with Daniel Sloss, which was published in The Scotsman, revealed that the young comedian has been writing jokes all his life. When he was five years old, his dad made him watch Jack Dee. Actually, both Daniel’s parents introduced him early on to the world of sarcasm.
But what kicked off his would-be career as a stand-up comedian was when Daniel’s mum asked Frank Boyle if her son could email him some questions about the art of stand-up. This led to Frank coaching Daniel during his subsequent successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe. The rest, as they say, is history.
