Full Casting Announced for The Blues Brothers – Summer Special

Hartshorn – Hook Productions has revealed the full casting for The Blues Brothers – Summer Special. The rock’n’roll production will see the return of Joshua Mumby (Elwood Blues). David Kristopher-Brown (Jake Blues). and Helen Hart and Hannah Kee (Stax Sisters).

Returning to the West End at the Hippodrome, The Blues Brothers will run from 18th July to 26th August 2017. Meanwhile, the press night will take place on 21st July 2017.

This sensational musical features 20 rock’n’roll classics including ‘Respect’, ‘Jailhouse Rock’, and ‘Soul Man’. Created with the blessing of the team behind the original Blues Brothers, this upcoming production now includes never-before-seen material under Judith Belushi’s guidance.

About The Blues Brothers – Summer Special cast

A freelance actor, singer, and director, Joshua Mumby trained in Musical Theatre at Liverpool Theatre School where he received the Student of the Year award. He has since toured the UK several times and performed in numerous shows like An Idle World, Treasure Island, and Beauty and the Beast.

David Kristopher-Brown graduated from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts with a Bachelor of Arts’ Degree in Performance. Some of his stage credits include The Phantom of the OperaSister Act – The Musical, and Little Shop of Horrors.

Helen Hart studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and has since worked in numerous productions all over the UK and Europe, Australia, Asia, and the USA. She recently performed as lead vocalist for P&0. Furthermore, her other theatre appearances are Spring AwakeningYou Were Wonderful Onstage, and Rent, among others.

Meanwhile, Hannah Kee was in Starlight Express (New Zealand tour) and Broadway Christmas Wonderland (Alberta Bair Theatre).

Finally, joining them for the first time is Arnold Mabhena, who will take on the role of Ray. After training at Masters Performing Arts School, Arnold went on to perform in various stage productions like Thriller LiveThe Only Way is Masters, and Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights.
